# Microsoft Azure Overview

Retrace has excellent support for Microsoft Azure. Stackify is actually hosted on Azure and we make extensive usage of many of Azure's PaaS features.

## Installing on Virtual Machines

For virtual machines, you can install our [Windows](/docs/net-agent-installation-overview) or [Linux](https://docs.stackify.com/v1/docs/linux-installation) agent just like you would on any other server.

We also offer a Virtual Machine extension that makes it easier to deal with [Scale Sets](https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/virtual-machine-scale-sets/).

## Installing on Azure PaaS Hosting

We also have fantastic support for applications that are deployed as App Services, Cloud Services, etc.

Azure Integration Suggested
If you are using a PaaS style application deployment, we highly suggest setting up our Azure integration. It helps us better remove servers as you deploy and scale down.
