How to Disable Prefix

To disable the Profiler, use the Prefix UI and select "Disable profiler"

How to Remove Prefix

To remove the StackifyHttpModule from IIS or IIS Express, please execute these commands below. Remove from IIS config:

%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe delete module "StackifyHttpModule_Net40" %windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd.exe delete module "StackifyHttpModule_Net20"

Remove from global IIS Express config

%programfiles(x86)%\IIS Express\appcmd.exe delete module "StackifyHttpModule_Net40" %programfiles(x86)%\IIS Express\appcmd.exe delete module "StackifyHttpModule_Net20"

If applicable, remove from solution level IIS Express config

If you added the module to your solution level applicationHost.config, manually edit the file and remove the modules. It will be located under ".vsconfig" in your solution files.

If applicable, remove from web.config

If you added the module to your web.config manually or via nuget, remove it.

Could not load assembly error

If you are seeing this error below but can't find any reference to StackifyHttpTracer in your web.config or csproj files, double check your IIS Express config under ".vsconfig". The module is likely still referenced there but missing from the GAC. You can remove the module from the config file manually or via command line as shown above. Reinstalling Prefix would also fix it.

"Could not load file or assembly 'StackifyHttpTracer, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=93c44ce23f2048dd' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."
