# January 2018 - Linux Agent 2.6

## Release Features

[Standalone Logwatcher](/docs/errors-logs-configure-standalone-logwatcher)

- In this release there is added support for sending log files through a standalone logwatcher. This will allow users to send log messages from any external file without the need of a framework or uploading through the Stackify API.

## Release Enhancements

- The web app discovery job in the Linux agent now checks for new web apps at a more frequent interval
- Added the ability to provide device aliases in the command line installation

## Bug Fixes

- Fixed an issue where unprocessed trace files were not being rotated out properly
