How to Purchase

To activate the Prefix Premium features, a Prefix Premium License subscription is required. You may purchase a subscription on a monthly or yearly basis. A Prefix Premium license includes any number of seats you require. The number of seats purchased should be equal to or greater than the number of developer machines you plan to use Prefix Premium on. All seats within a license will have the same Activation Key.

Purchase Prefix Premium as a standalone

If you only want to purchase Prefix Premium and not Retrace, simply follow the upgrade steps within the Prefix application.

1. Select Upgrade or click on any of the ads in the Free version of Prefix after your trial has expired to purchase a Prefix Premium License.

2. You will be prompted to create a profile so that you can manage your subscription at any time. Including adding or removing seats to your license.

3. After filling out your account information and billing details, you will receive an email with your Activation Key

4. Enter the Activation Key into the propted area in the Prefix app to activate your Premium features.

Purchase Prefix Premium as a Retrace add-on

If you’d like to manage your Prefix Premium license along with your Retrace subscription, you can purchase a Premium License in two ways:

Option one

Add Prefix Premium to your Retrace trial upgrade:

1. When you choose to upgrade your Retrace trial, you will select a Retrace Subscription and have the option to add a Prefix Premium License and number of seats to your purchase.

2. Upon completion of your Retrace and Prefix Premium subscription, you will receive an email with your Activation Key that you will enter into the app to activate your Prefix Premium features.

Option Two

Add Prefix Premium to your existing Retrace subscription:

1. Within your Retrace account, navigate to Settings -> Prefix License

2. Enter the number of Seats you wish to purchase for your license

3. This will automatically create a Prefix Premium license for you.

   i. Please note that you may have to refresh the page to see your Activation Key and number of available seats after a couple of minutes have passed.

   ii. An Email will be sent to the Retrace account administrator with the Activation Key as well

How do I link my Prefix Premium license to a new Retrace account?

If you sign up for Retrace after purchasing a Prefix Premium License and you want the two subscriptions to be linked, you will need to cancel your current Prefix Premium subscription and purchase a Prefix Premium license from within your Retrace account as shown in Option Two above. To do so:

1. Log into your account you created upon purchasing Prefix Premium from within the app.

2. Cancel your subscription

3. Within your Retrace account, navigate to Settings -> Prefix License

4. Enter the number of Seats you wish to purchase for your license

5. This will automatically create a Prefix Premium license for you.

   i. You may have to refresh the page to see your Activation Key and number of available seats after a couple of minutes of clicking the “add” button.

   ii. An email will be sent to the Retrace account administrator with the Activation Key as well

6. In the Prefix App, enter your new Activation Key to enable your new Prefix Premium license
   i. You may have to restart the app in order to set the new activation key
